I Told You

I Told You is Tory Lanez's debut studio album. It came out on August 19, 2016 on Mad Love Records and Interscope, after sessions that ran from 2015 into 2016.

He worked with a long list of producers on it, including Benny Blanco, Cashmere Cat, Frank Dukes, DJ Dahi, Pop Wansel and Noah Breakfast, and produced parts of it himself. He revealed the title on June 10, 2016, and said he had found it hard to settle on one. At 16 tracks it ran longer than the 10 to 12 he said he preferred, and short skits sit between many of the songs.

Two songs led the way: "Say It" (No. 23 on the Billboard Hot 100) and "Luv" (No. 19). The album entered the Billboard 200 at No. 4 with 52,000 units, his first US top-ten debut, and was certified gold in March 2021.
